Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
By using the Josh Does Math website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Plain English where possible; reach out if anything is unclear.
Who we are
Josh Does Math ("JDM," "we," "I") is operated by Joshua Adams, providing math tutoring, course support, test preparation, and foundational skill development to high school, college, and adult students, online and in the Houston area.
Use of this site
The information on this site is for general educational and marketing purposes. You agree not to use the site in any way that violates applicable law or infringes on others' rights. Content on this site (copy, visuals, and descriptions of the services) is owned by JDM and may not be reproduced without permission.
Services
Current services are mathematics tutoring, course support, test preparation, and foundational skill development, delivered online or in person at designated public meeting locations in Houston's Inner Loop and The Woodlands. Rates, scheduling, cancellation expectations, and payment arrangements will be communicated and agreed upon directly with you before tutoring begins. Where appropriate, a service agreement may describe the specifics for an individual student; nothing on this site or in initial conversations creates a binding service relationship on its own.
Educational disclaimer
Tutoring is inherently individualized. We commit to professional, informed, good-faith instruction. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, test scores, grades, or college admissions — results depend on many factors beyond our control, including student engagement, prior preparation, and test-day conditions.
Joshua is currently completing graduate studies in counseling, which informs his teaching approach. This does not make tutoring psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or a licensed professional counseling (LPC) service. If you or your student is experiencing significant distress, please seek a licensed mental health professional.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JDM is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this site or our services. Direct liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the service giving rise to the claim in the prior twelve months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County or Montgomery County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms over time. The "last updated" date above will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the site or services after a change constitutes acceptance.
